Here is some travel information for you to review before you book. The advice relates to British passport holders. Other nationalities should seek specific advice from their embassies.
Passports
British citizens must have a full 10 year British passport. Children including infants must also have their own passports. Most countries require that passports are valid for at least six months after the date of return from your destination. Please allow plenty of time to obtain or renew your passport before your holiday departure date. This can take up to 6 weeks. More information is available at theIdentity & Passport Service
Visas
British passport holders may also need to obtain a visa for certain destinations. You must check the up to date position in good time before you depart for your holiday. British passport holders may consult our guide to the destinations requiring visas, set out below. If you do not have a British passport, you will need to contact the Embassy for your destination to seek advice. Should a visa need to be obtained in advance of travel we can recommend the services of a visa company, just ask the team member handling your booking. Please note that postal applications to certain embassies can take up to 4 weeks so early application is advisable.
Health Requirements
It is recommended that you keep up to date with the required UK schedule of immunisations. Helpful information can be found on the Department of Health website or by telephoning 0870 1555 455. Some destinations may require specific immunisations. You must check whether your destination has specific immunisation requirements. It is wise to seek advice from a qualified doctor or practitioner specialising in travel medicine as early as possible prior to travel. If you have a medical condition of any kind or if you are pregnant, then you must get clearance to travel from your own doctor. You must also check the terms of your travel insurance as certain restrictions and exclusions may apply to pregnant passengers or passengers with certain medical conditions.
For holidays in the European Economic Area, you should obtain a European Health Insurance Card before you depart. This is available from most Post Offices. It is not a substitute for comprehensive travel insurance.
Overseas Safety Standards
Tots Too would like to make you aware that safety standards and regulations overseas may differ from those we are familiar with in the UK. The setting and enforcement of health and safety regulations is a matter for the authorities of the country to which you are travelling. If you have any particular concerns or requirements with regard to health and safety, we will be happy to answer your questions.
Top Safety Tips
Tots Too wants to ensure that your holiday goes as smoothly as possible. With that in mind, we ask that you take a few moments to read through the advice below, which has been put together with your safety and well being in mind.
On arrival at your accommodation, take some time to familiarise yourself with the layout and the location of key safety areas such as the nearest fire exit to your room and the fire assembly point.
If your accommodation has cooking facilities, make sure you understand how to operate them and ensure that everything is turned off when not in use, especially at night. If you aren’t entirely sure how to operate any of the equipment within your room, the accommodation management will be happy to explain.
Everyone loves a dip, or at least a paddle, in the pool to cool off during their holiday – check first where it’s safe to dive or jump in and follow any safety instructions that may be displayed around the pool. Any non swimmers, or parents of young children, should check the depth markings around the pool so that you know which areas of the pool you feel confident using.
Slip-Slop-Slap as they say in Australia, "slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, and slap on a hat" when you go out into the sun. It’s always best to stick with the high factor suncream and build your tan up slowly to avoid any painful sunburn.
If you are travelling with children, please remind them that they should ask you first if they want to leave you to explore or play with other children, so that you know where they are. Most holiday accidents involving young children occur when they are unsupervised so we encourage you to supervise your children at all times, but in particular when by the pool or on the beach, even if there is a lifeguard on duty.
Please do not leave your children unsupervised on your balcony or unattended within your room – we understand that parents need time off too so many of our hotels provide babysitting facilities.
If you are going out at night, we recommend that you avoid wearing valuables and leave them securely within your safety deposit box. As you would do at home after dark, keep to the areas that you know to be safe.
If you have any concerns regarding safety within your accommodation or the local area, please raise it with the accommodation management team who will be happy to assist you wherever possible.
